What was the common size sway bars in 1987 Trans Am GTA's 305 TPI?
Was it 32mm front 19mm rear?

87's to '89's were equipped with 30 mm front shafts EXCEPT for those cars equipped with the FE2 option (suspension, ride & handling), in which case they had 34 mm shafts.

Rear shafts were 24 mm, including the FE2 optioned cars.

With sway bars its better if you check..Some got the bigger/hollow swaybars and some got the 32mm...I think its only certain for IROCs

Here's the scoop. Looks like the 87 - 90 Camaro's with the FE2 had the 34 mm front sway. The 87 - 90 Birds with the FE2 had the 36 mm front sway.

Only from 91-92 did the Camaro's with the FE2 come with the 36 mm front sway.

I'm sure my 86 IROC has a 36mm on it.

I've done a search on the current General Motors Parts catalogue and there are no options or listings for 36 mm front sways on either the '86 or '87' camaro's.

That's not to say they didn't come with them. Go figure.
