Anybody interested in a Fall track day? The air is nice and cool and Luskville is open until mid-October. It would be nice to have another get together

 

If I get these darn gears set up I would be glad to meet up! Everything is dead quiet until I let of and coast, then I get a buzz sound? I have driven it for a total of 2 minutes, so I know I have not done damage yet.

My transmission is slipping the 2-3 shift pretty bad but I'm still going to the track one more time. Might as well finish it off lol.

Cory, I'm not sure about the exact cause of the coasting noise. How was the pattern on set-up, this is the best way to knwo they are set up properly?

They didn't just get tossed in with the new carrier..?

 

The side shims were changed and the pinion shim was left stock. The Pattern? I don't know much about the install as I was not there through the whole thing, it was a buddy that did it for me (same one who built the engine and trans). With the white gear marking stuff, the pinion was half way down the ring gear? I am sure he will get it right, he has done many sets of gears. I just hate having someone take it apart a second time when I am not even paying them.lol

The remaining Sept. race days are the 23rd, 24th. and 30th.

The remaing Oct. race days are the 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th.

Supposed to rain this whole weekend and the 7th of October is Thanksgiving.

Instead i was at Napierville QC on Saturday & Sanair Qc on Sunday

 

Hey Carm, are you running better times/MPH at those tracks?

 

Napierville seems to be the faster track...Sanair was the same as Slushville.

Regardless, hard to say...i upped the boost to 17psi & traction became a real issue at 1/2 track.

My suspension consists of 25 yo leaf springs & 1 of them is hurt (sagging) pretty bad.

 

I'm up for October 14th. If this is a go, I'll send the word out to the club.

 

I'm probably going to hit Luskville tomorrow with a couple of the Buick guys. Anybody interested in going?
