Precision tools - where do you buys yours?
Just like the title states,
Where do you guys buy your stuff - dial calipers, gauges, etc...
Anyone in Canada, In Ontario, In the GTA, or do you guys order from abroad?
Curious, It's time for Christams gift shoping....

i buy mine through the factory i work at, they offer the payroll deduction, so i can split the purchase over 4 weeks if i want, i believe they get most of there stuff through a place called Varco sales
I've bought stuff from a place in Mississauga called "KBC Tools & Machinery" which can sell/give you if you buy something a 400 page catalog of their tool offerings. That being said, they sell two "types" of everything- the "Made in China Special" and the more appropriate Canada/US/European made stuff.

I'm a Machinist by trade (big woopie) and if you want tools you should check out Swiss Instruments in Mississauga or Summit Tools in Milton. KBC has everything but most of the time their really expensive, but sometimes you can find a good sale. Another place is Try Hard in Mississauga as well.

Unbelievable prices. 7" dial calipers for $14 CAD. I sent them into tech inspection at a Magna tool and die shop and they passed.
I sure aint saying its Mitutoyo quality or anything but for someone like me who doesn't need it for my career the price was right! Theres a couple stores across Toronto one on Dixie rd and the head office is near Keele and 407
