Straight Line Racing in Scarborough
Edit - I see you've got V6s. If you're thinking of paying someone to install an 8 the cost might be prohibitive.

Where in Toronto do you prefer. I know a shop in Scarborough. The place is not much to look at but prices are reasonable and he stands by his work. This guy only advertises by word of mouth. Ross's Auto 416-287-1793. Tell him you were talking to Bill with the blue Camaro.
I dont really have a set time as to when I want this done. Really, right now i'm stuck between a custom turbo and a V8 swap. I would much rather do what is easiest and cheapest. I'm just tired of going SLOW... So i'm trying to figure out how much the swap would cost if i was to pay someone to do it for me as im not confident enuff in my own skills at the moment... Also I might be able to get some advice as to what my best route/options would be...

I have heard of the the shop Bill describes. Some guys I know in Scarborough go to this guy and swear by him.
Thank you, I will give them a call... Is it safe to assume that I should ask to speak to... Ross?

Ask for Ross. As I said first impression is it not much but the work is top notch. He is very knowledgeable and if he does not know he will research the question. Also he won't burn you on the price.
He is the only mechanic to touch my car in 12 years and will be doing my engine swap in the spring.

how much roughly would it be to have someone swap a 305 with a 350?

Depends on the status of the motor. Is swap Motor complete? Carb or EFI? If EFI do you have 350 ecm? Is wiring complete? Best thing is scroll up. I have posted the phone number for Ross's Auto. Give him a call. Then you know.
