Cold start issue.

Hi All,

Need help. I have a 1989 GTA with a L98.

I have swapped all 8 injectors with new Eccels. I have replaced the mass flow sensor and EGR. All plugs and wires are new.

The issue I am having is...when the car starts after sitting for a day or more it runs really rough and I get a "Check engine light". Once the car warms up after a 10 minute drive, light goes out and car runs like a dream. For the most part. But the odd time, the car stalls out. Even if I am on the highway. It starts up right away after, but it is puzzling me on why? Could it be a TP sensor or an O2 sensor? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Cold start issue.

Maybe look into that check engine light and pull the code..??
Does it only run well when it goes into closed loop?

You can do it yourself at home and look up the issue if you have the shop manual..a search on here would also get you someinfo.

Re: Cold start issue.

Thats it exactly. When it goes into a closed loop it runs great. But not when it is open.
