Re: price for T5
The T5's seem to go for about $500.
The WC units can go for about $800-1000 depending on the clutch, and if theyre rebuilt.
Assuming its a complete kit.
I found one locally for $300 and thought it was a steal.

Re: price for T5
There was one for sale here recently on craigs list for $300. I might check to see if he still has it and keep it for a spare, thought that price was pretty good for a non WC box.

I bought my kit for $350 and sold it after I changed my mind the next year for $300. Mine wasn't a WC and needed a new clutch though.

Re: price for T5
If you get one under a grand, I think its a steal. I could be wrong (probably got ripped by my tranny mechanic).
I had mine rebuilt 2 weeks ago. Cost me $1800 and only $200 of that was labor. The rest was all parts (which apparently are getting rare up here).
I called David T's Auto Center (in Edmonton I think). He had one, fully rebuilt, wanted $1500 for it.
If I had to do it again, I'd just buy a T56 and finally do the swap.

Re: price for T5
Rather than drop 1800 on a rebuild I'd just get a TKO 500 for around 2300 Cdn. last me till the end of my days.
Prices vary quite a bit though. Some dood was telling me he picked up a fresh rebuilt T5 for 400 Cdn.
