trying to find 3 inch FLEX hose

I called GM about some 3 inch flex hose, the rubberized stuff that comes in variable length. The parts guy said he never heard of it. So I explained what I want to do and he suggests Home Depot plumbing material. If I wanted Home Depot plumbing I would be calling Home Depot (right ?). Good grief where is someone who knows GM parts inventory when you need them ?

Has anyone out there seen this stuff (besides me) ? It is black, rubberized, flexible, metal ribbed insides, used for air intakes, snorkels, etc. I want to run a 3 inch diameter piece from my TB to my fender well and attach a K&N cone to it.

thx in advance,
RP.

Thats the problem with GM parts service, they only know part numbers off of cars, not "raw" materials. Best thing to do is find a car that takes a 3" hose, and get them to order that. I know you didn't want Home Depot, but I know Crappy Tire sells that hose, I am pretty sure of it.
