That is a good deal, but I wonder what the shipping charges would be to ship them here via UPS?

Hey man THX FOR THE HEADS up. I've been looking for a decent deal on a STB for awhile. I think it took me about 20 seconds to make up my mind on this one...

Kevs87TA -- at 6lbs per I wouldn't worry about the shipping.

STB (strut tower brace) connects the two strut towers together by a metal bar.

Not trying to be funny but -- some say they do NOTHING. I talked to one shop in CA a few months back that insisted the late 3rd gen'rs strut towers do not measure any deflection under hard cornering therefore they do not recommend them (STBs). I didn't know what to make of that ?

On the other hand there are alot of 3rd gen'rs out there with STBs so they must be doing some good. At a miniumum they provide a place to put rags when you are working on the engine (ha,ha).

I have seen this too..

But .. be wary of the 0 eBay rating poll.... I have said that I would never deal again with a 0 rating person on eBay...

Seems to good of a deal for a Jamex bar....and where the hell does one guy get his hands on 350 new bars?!?!?!?

I am waiting it out to see if anyone gets burned on this deal...although he would be nuts to burn 350 people... but then again what a quick way to make $7000 US ... advertise that you have 350 of these bars, get a pic off the net, setup a one time eBay auction...pull in $7000, then disappear... I was burned like this before.... interesting that these bars are set to $20US, $5 US under the eBay fraud limit. If ya get screwed then eBay can't help ya.

Do what you want but my experience on eBay tells me "Too good to be true + 0 rating = bye bye money"

I'm waiting until after the auction...I doubt he will sell all 350 of these STB's. If he screws people over you will certainly see it quickly after the auction...

my $0.02 worth

That almost seems too good to be true?!?

I would certainly replace my MAC STB with that though. I might bid any way for that price.

I would wait...

Chris,

I would wait! 0 rating is never a good sign.... ...it could be like having someone lifting $30 from ya if the guy is not legit...

I have a gut feeling that this is a one time money grab, but then again I am a paranoid basta@d when it comes to eBay now... one bitten twice shy...I doubt he going to sell all 350!!

But he maybe on the up and up... who knows!!! If this guy had 10 positive feedbacks I would bid on 5 right now!! hehehe

THAT BLACK IROC was the one i was going to buy before last winter. The owner is a friend of mine.

I am not gonna settle for what i can get. I want a T-5 and T-Roofs. OR at LEAST 1 of them (prefer the T-5)

I share your weariness Stan...I haven't been bitten yet, but of course that doesn't mean it's never gonna happen. If it were more than $30USD then I might be a bit more leary.

What I like about that bar is it's flat compared to my MAC one that rubs on the hood (and pisses me off everytime I see the rub marks on it)...I really want the Hotchkis unit but it's way out of the budget.

Well I was just about to bid on it then realized he is shipping the stuff via UPS...NOT GOOD!

Here's my reasons...$20USD for the unit, $10 USD for the shipping...so far that's $30USD. That equates to aprox. $48 CDN...so still not too bad. But when UPS brings it to your door they'll be expecting taxes and brokerage fees from ya. Expect another $30 minimum to be added to it. And UPS is a huge pain in the **** to deal with but I'm not going to get into that here. So for a $20USD item you'll end up paying close to $80CDN for it. Still not a bad deal but it adds up awefully quick. Needless to say, I pass on this one.

Well.... if this guy is scamming us... he is gonna get a lot of money... there is at least 25 people in line to get one of these. I don't know why some have bid 50bux.. but they have... so this guy already has almost 1000bux of scammed money, if he is scamming...

If he is scamming.. I don't think he'll get away with it that easy

carry it across the border

I am one of those who got a jamex piece for $20USD (the bidding closed last night).

I will be taking a biz trip to one of our US companies next week so I'll have them ship the bar to the US address and carry it back with me. No UPS cross border shipping.
