hey guys, i didnt know where to put this topic, so ill start here. Im smelling some gas around my gas cap ONLY when the car is running. I was wondering if the gas cap went bad (which must have happened suddenly, because I all of a sudden noticed it), or if something could be leaking. I didn't notice and drips or wetness looking up underneath. Also, if i smell underneath the quarter under the gas cap the smell is strong also.

 

Any time you smell gas you should immediately check out where it's coming from. You wouldn't want there to be a leak and one day send your *** to space.

Could be your cap. You might want to check your filler pipe as well.
