i need suggestions please

i have an 86 tpi t/a car was runnning fine after few minor mods past summer. rear of intake was leaking due to cheesy end rail gasket . so i did it this past weekend only to have the car start and run rough. i believe i assembled everything properly and torqued properly. timing is fine too. could a crossed injector cause it to run like this? im going to run a compression test tommorow. it seems like timing or i could be getting air in from somewhere else. i also rtved the windage baffle on the underside of the manifold. if i cant figure this out im going to do it all over again next weekend. any suggestions would be appreciated from an experienced wrench please
p.s. this seems like a leak or valve adjustment, cracked plugg but just replaced. just poor timing i have replaced just about every sensor slash relay so iknow it isnt that also no codes have been tripped could i have possibly put the intakes on backwards the holes matched up im stumped and frankly pissed off at this point but life goes on and i know ill fix this..... all wires are firing fine to .... car has cam headers and chip 305 thgnk you people for any help in my meaningless trans am.......

If you only did the intake look first at everything you touched.

A vacuum gauge will tell you if you have any problems there. It's easy to miss a vacuum hose or crack an EGR hose.

Wring out the plug wires as an LB9 will run rather well with two crossed (don't ask).

Are you sure the dist is indexed correctly?

yes sir everything checked out then double checked. i think a plug wire may be cooked ( its all brown due to confined space between lokar dipsrick and header tube.)so im pulling the [plugg before work this morning and i will know. otherwise i need to keep it simple thank you

To check that wire clip a timing light onto it and hit the trigger. If the light's flasher are unsteady compared to a good wire you've found it.

I did this to find two pad posts on a dist cap recently.
