Removing runners?
Any one got any tips to remove the runners off my TPI. I have my base and tb off. Will I have to remove or raise the fuel rail?
Are they any seals or o-rings to worry about with the fuel rail?
What about the injectors, will I have to remove any to get to the bolts.
Im not trying to sound dumb, and I did do a few searches, but I could not get clear info.
thanks.

As long as my head is on straight (which is never a sure thing in the morning), you should have no problem removing the runners w/ the fuel rail still on. And don't forget about the 'blind' bolt that you have to get to from behind (driver's sdie runner bolted from behind by the ditributor, pass side runner from behind by the front.

Don't foreget the two inner bolts at the runner base; left rear and right front. A Torx key or allen key works well to get at the left rear Torx bolt. For the outside Torx bolts a long 3/8" Torx bit works well with a swivel.
You should be able to work them out without removing the fuel rail.

To just polish them I use Scotch Brite and some carb cleaner to cut the soil. Finish up with an Al polish.
If you have the $$ or facility glass beading would do the trick.
