LT4 Hotcam/IRON L98 head Questions!

Well, I'm gonna run the hotcam and ported L98 iron heads. Probably gonna use 1:6's also.

Questions:

1) Can I use the LT4 springs from SDPC withOUT machining?
2) Will these heads handle all that lift withOUT machining? If not, what machining do I have to do?
3) Will piston/valve clearance be an issue with STOCK '88 pistons?
4) Anyone else running iron heads and hotcam?

*Thanks alot for ANY help... I can't seem to find help thru the searches. There's alot of hotcam discussion and help, but not what I'm looking for. THANKS

ok in order
1. I THINK the springs will fit, I'll double check later when I'm in the shop.
2. No, the heads will not handle that much lift stock. You'll have to machine down the valve guides, no big deal any half competent machine shop should be able to do it for you no problem.
3. Clearance should not be a problem.
4. I think a coupla people are running the hot cam with the stock heads, but I'm not sure.

I'd say the cam would work well with the ported heads, probably an excellent match.

Looks like the springs will fit. Just tell them the lift of the cam and have them check the clearance, they should be able to handle the rest.

I think you should just give it to me. Picked up the motor today and can't wait to put it in.
