730 ecm, correct memcal, map sensor and a complete repin of the maf harness..not bad, but be prepared to set back a weekend.

You also need the extra connector for the 730 ECM.

Like Sat5 said, not bad, just time consuming. It took me a full day to repin the harness, and another couple days cleaning it up (removing unused wires/circuits, moving wires to the correct places, and adding my own circuits).

chevythunder.com is a ripoff, IMO.

for 173 you could buy a SD harness, and turn around and sell your MAF harness for 75.

That is a pretty good article. Its just a little confusing because he built it to be able to switch back and forth.

Hehe, ya you will need the yellow connector as well. Might also suggest checking this site out too. http://diy-efi.org/gmecm/ On the FTP site goto Manuals then 1227730 and look at the 92-730 files. These are the wiring schematics for a 92 730 TPI. Just grab all three connectors when you get the ECM, having a couple extra wont hurt , not to mention the visual aid. The swap isn't all that bad, ,just take your time and most importantly.. Change only one wire at a time and keep notes. cheers, Bob

for what i got from Leonerd you can't beat it.i sent him my harness to convert plus i sent him my MAF ECM and chip and he sent back the harness a VATS deleted chip plus the correct ECM.
now...tell me where you can get a correct harness,ECM and chip for well under $176?i tell ya what you wont find it around here.a S/D is very hard to come by in Cincy.

if your looking to do a TPI conversion chevythunder.com has every thing you'll need to it right.

Chevythunder Does have everything you need, But they Just Charge too Much.

He converted your harness, gave you a 730 ECM, and a Vats deleted chip for 170 bucks ?

ECM goes for about 40 on eaby, vats deleted PROM took him all of... 2 minutes ?

So basically he charged you 130 bucks to repinn your harness. Seems a little Steep To me.

But then again, Sometimes you just need to shell out the cash for that peice of mind, I know the feeling

That doesn't sound like too bad of an idea to me $176 for ECM ($40-50) Ebay (usually don't have the chip), EPROM($40+tunning if you want to call it that), and repin the wiring harness. How much will someone else charge for me to get a plug and play connector for my MAF wiring harness. To me it seems thunderracing charged about $60 or so for the re-pin. I'd be glad to pay anyone $40 for a harness I could just connect to my MAF harness to plug into the 730 ECM and wire in the MAP sensor.
