Trick Flow 23 degree heads and gasket thickness??
I was thinking about getting the Trick Flow 23 degree heads that are cnc ported in the 64cc versions. I have heard that after the cnc port they are now 66cc. Trick flow recomends the use of these felpro gaskets:
Fel-Pro 7733PT-2 for mild engines up to 4.060 in. bore
Fel-Pro 1010 for high output engines up to 4.155 in. bore (will not indent aluminum heads)
I have a stock 350 that has never been touched. I assume that I need the Fel-Pro 7733PT-2 for mild engines up to 4.060 in. bore gasket. Now my question is.....is there a slighter thinner gasket that I can use to bring the head cc back down to exactly 64cc. If there is will there be any problems that I could run into like sealing and the such....
Also where is the cheapest place I can get the TFS-30400006-CNC heads from.
Thanks!!!!

Felpro makes a coated 1094 steel shim head gasket that has a compressed thickness of .015. I would call up Trick Flow and ask them about the use of that gasket with their heads.
Anyone ever use the 1094 head gasket before? I just bought some Trk Flw 23s & I have those head gasket sitting in the box. Do these head gaskets need anything special to install them? Do they need to be retorqued?

Going from 64cc to 66cc you change from 9.5:1 to 9.3:1. If you use the TPIS head gasket, using .026 thick then your compression ratio will be 9.65:1. If you use the steel shim gasket, not a real good idea since they aren't intended for street use, your compression ratio will be 9.9:1.

I have used the coated 1094 steel shim gasket many times and there is no problem with street use. The gasket needs a smooth head surface and block deck to work but I have installed these gaskets on used non resurfaced engines with no problems.
