black pours on my plenum after polishing

i just polished my plenum and it looks pretty good and is very shiny, but what makes it bad are these little black pours in some areas. if tried sanding it and buffing and cleaning but they seem to stay. is there something else i can do to make it look more smoother? my plenum would look awesome if it wasn't for that. thanks

It sounds like there are still some pits that are filled with compound. The compound turns black as you buff and sticks in the pits. Scrub those areas with laquer thinner using a tooth brush and they will clean up well.
