Hey guys.
I'm not sure if the VATS in my car's hooked-up right or even working. it'sa 92 Z28 I picked it up in October...
the Security light comes on when i start it up then goes out... anyhow... there is a little car alarm type thingy on the driver's side inner-fender in the engine bay.. an alarm of SOMe sort.. is this VATS?

what's an easy way to test the VATS in my car?

get a key cut with the right pattern but without the chip

if the car starts vats no workie

 

starting procedure is correct - light comes on and disapear - your VATS is doing just fine. there's no alarm in VATS, so probably you were looking for some another things around right fender. VATS simply disable injector driver when activated, so it's quite elegant in that way :hail:
