I have it all apart now and my last smog test the HC levels were pretty high

will it hurt it to use a cleaner or something to clean it out

or is there anything that can be done ?

I'm not sure. You could always try and if it does'nt work a new one from Autozone is only around $30, I think. Just be thankful you don't have a digital egr like on the v6's. Those things are expensive.

high hc's are usually caused by ign. system problem. ie...plugs, wires, etc. what were your co count? best of luck, tom

 

My Hc was 133 @ 15mph ..1364 rmp
and 84 @ 25mph...910 rpm
only passed by one point



and Co was only .71 @ 15mph 1364rpm
and .04 @ 25mph 910 rpm

I have all new ignition this time with 6al MSD box and all the goodies so maybe that will help
