has anyone with a tpi 305 tried the world producsts s/r torquer 305 heads if so, how did they do? are they worth $700? What kinda time improvements? thanks

I bought some sportsman II's for hundreds less, and they certainly aren't stock replacments.

 

Part of my plan is to pick up the S/R World Products heads. Then have them ported and polished which, I'm hoping with the right cam and headres can push me up to 280+HP..or I may just be kiddin' my self. lol.

Are the aluminum L98 heads the so called 'vette' heads off of TPI vettes? If so, isn't a special intake required from Scoogin to make this work?

Yes they are vette heads

No you do not need a special intake


The scoogin "special intake" is for the vortec heads, maybe your confusion is ZZ3/ZZ4, ZZ3 is the vette heads, ZZ4 is the fastburns which do have raised runners and a vortec style bolt pattern.
