NEED HELP, 383 not running right.
I came out of work tonight and started my car after sitting for 4 hours and it died. It started normal but the rpms dropped really quick and it died, it did this 3 times. After that I started it and held my foot on the gas to keep the rpms up, it ran rough for a while until it warmed up, then it ran almost like normal, it was just a little rough and the rpms where a little lower at stoplights. I thought maybe it was just bad gas or a fluke so I floored it and it had the normal lowend power but once it got above 3500-4000rpm it fell on it's face, it didn't have any power at all, then it hit second and it burntout like normal and than the same thing happened once it got up in the rpm's. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks

Mine did the same thing, but the opposite a while ago. It wouldnt idle or have low RPM's at all without giving it alot of gas without dieing.
If I could manage to keep it going to get R's up it would be perfectly fine, that was the MAF sensor
maybe yours is too.
and I know it should, but when that happened it didnt throw any codes.

Thanks for your help guys. I found the problem, it was a loose conection under the plenum. It must have worked it's way loose since I pulled off my TB and plenum a few weeks ago to clean everything.
