First of all, he's a *****, so I have no respect for him. He has a little hatchback that has had a motor swap AND is sprayin, and still can't beat me (i'm quite a bit faster than in my sig.). Well he says he used to be a chevy guy, and had a 12 second IROC...well after talking to him, he says it was all motor...no nitrous, no forced air....but then he tells me it was a 5 speed...so then I knew he was full of it. ALL 5.7 IROCs were autos to the best of my knowledge. Well I know they made 305 5speeds....but I've never heard of a 12 second all motor 305TPI...have any of you? Even if that is possible....this guy doesn't have the skills or money to be one of the few to do that. I know it's possible that he swapped a 350 in place of the 305 in a T5 IROC...or he could have put a 5 speed in place of the 700 in a 5.7...but I doubt that. Even if that were the case....I dont know of many, if any T5's that run 12s....and if this guy had a car w/ that kinda power...the T5 wouldn't have lasted an hour the way he drives....grinding gears, launching at too high an RPM, etc. What do u guys think?

Well if you READ it....you would realize that there are a few questions in there....
1.All 5.7 TPIs were autos?
2.Has anyone heard or an all motor 305TPI running 12's
3.implied question....I haven't heard of many, if any T5's running
12's. (someone would have came along and told me whether or whether not they know of any)

I posed it in the TPI forum, because why the hell would I post it in a forum where 60% of the guys reading it are running TBI, and 10% are running carb....so what's the chances of them knowing if there were T5s w/ 5.7s, or if a 305 TPI can run 12's?

I posted this to get some help to help back me up and tell this ***** that he's full of it....help...isn't that what this message board is about? It's to get help, not to get flamed by a$$holes like you....

So now tell me, what was the point of you being a *****?

i think it could be possible to get a 305 into the 12's n/a
one guy is running 13.5 with that head and cam change. and i'm sure you could get some better heads or port the ones he put on and do some nice prom tuneing, slap some slicks on and put a nice cam in and see 12's
it won't be as streetable as a 350 but it could be done. shoot i was running low 14's on street tires, stock heads/cam before my motor gave up.

but yes all 350's from the factory were autos

someone (i'm bad with names) or possibly a couple people are running t5s into the 12's
