T/A not running right....help please

hi guys, when i accelerate full throttle, my car seems to drag a little like its getting too much fuel or too little and sounds like there's air or something in the fuel system. it makes like a hissing sound or something. and when the rpm's reach 3000, it seems like something kicks in and it gains power back but by then it's too late for speed if i'm going to race or something. still has a lot of torque off the line but after 1st gear all of this starts happening. what could be the problem. i have an afpr and slp runners. fuel pressure was at 48, then i bumped it up to 50.5 psi and it still does it. coudl it have something to do with the afpr? it seems like one cylinder or something is holding off then when the r's get up there, something kicks in. let me know with some ideas, thanks guys!

Maybe you're getting some knock counts and retarding?

Also that hissing sounds like a vacuum leak?

hey, thanks for responding! umm....the kissing doesnt sound like a vaccum leak though, i'm going to try and mess around with a lower fuel pressure tonight i think. i'll see what i can do to find out if it's a vaccuum leak for sure, but it seems like its in the fuel system for some reason, not sure. the car just like kicks in like something was holding it back after about 3-3500 rpms. i have no clue what it could be, thanks
