high idle, rough idle, code 33 aaargh!

This Damn TPI is driving me crazy!!!! well i have a high idle mostly all the time, fluxuates a bit in closed and open loop. and last night coming from my girls house my SES came on and the idle totally dropped and I got a Code 33 (used it as an excuse to make an intake). Now this car is my Primary mode of transportation so i need to know what the hell is causing this.
I may just 86 the whole F.I. Set-up and go to a carb cause it just isnt workin out for me. Ive cleaned the IAC, adjusted the Min. Air and TPS.

Does the car have the original engine, if so, have you changed the cam or any other major components? If you don't apply to any of that, just change the MAF and you should be fine, if you have done any of the above, and you've checked the MAF and it looks ok (the wire is not broke on the inside) than you probably need a chip burned. Check out DIY PROM if thats the problem. Hope this helps, I'm having the same problems, so we are getting bald together...LOL

.MAF is fine now but the idle is still whacked out. i have no emmisions equipment, all my vac lines are plugged and EGR isnt hooked up. wondering if there are any vaccum lines that need to be hooked up. And the motor....lol. she aint original and she aint stock. Im workin on getting the burning gear together but that cable is F'in expensive. oh yea.:lala:

I don't know what lines might effect the code 33 or even if they can, but it sounds like when you get that chip burned for the ECM most of your problems should go away. Let me know when you get the chip burned.
