Rich TPS.........?

Can setting your TPS at the upper range, like around .60V, cause you to run rich?

That would make sense...

Although at the moment I can't think of any tables that the tps static voltage would effect the A/F ratio, only like AE and decel type tables.

I set my TPS at about .59v...and immediately thereafter the car started running rich.

I'd get a black cloud at startup.

After awhile, I started getting a rough idle....which I'm still trying to fix.

I wonder if there was any connection?

I dont' mean to butt in but what would the reccomended setting for the tps be? My friend told me that he thought it should be arround 80mv but I can't remember. I have it set at 60 right now.

Only Way that would happen is if you are getting into PE earlier.

How do you know your Running Rich ?

Black cloud at startup Could easily be leaking injectors.

I think .54V at idle is the Recommended setting.

4.5V + at WOT.

The recommended setting is 0.54v + or- 0.075 volts.

I set it back to .54 and the black cloud at startup seems to have stopped.

But I still havw the rough idle.
