LT4 cam with stock heads and stiffer springs?
LT4 cam with stock heads and stiffer springs?
i know, i saw the post about this farther down the list, but i got waaaay too complicated for this newbie. my question is this:
i'm building a 350 TPI, and like the specs on the LT4 cam, but the .492 lift is a little more than the stock heads can handle. will upgrading to a little stiffer spring cure this or do i need to have more work done? this isn't an all out motor, its my daily driver and a budget build up so i want to keep the stock castings. how aoubt the ZZ9 cam? thanx

You need to have the Valve Guides Cut Down So that they Won't Come Into Contact with the Retainers at Max lift.
Screw In Studs would be advisable, Too.
This applies to any Cam approaching .480" Lift @ Valve, where the Guides and retainers enter a gray area of trying to occupy the same space at the Same time.
There TPI Roc, Something Useful Just For YOU.
