MAF and Prom mods??!??
Ok, I know that some of what I am seeking to learn is impossible to tell someone in a scant few sentances, or even a scant few thousand pages, but bare with me, I'm new.
I am doing the V6-V8 swap, and I have the opportunity to get a longblock with ported heads, a ZZ4 cam, and springs to compensate for the larger valve lift. I also have a proted plenum, and an Edlebrock manifold. I am planning on using a WELLS MAF. So:
1. How many mods can the stock PROM handle with the MAF, without custom burning?
2. IF I have to burn my own prom, could anybody point me in the right direction as what to start modifying first? I know it takes playing around, but knowing what to play with first would really help. Thanks guys and gals

Well, my car ran with all the mods in my sig with the stock prom, but it ran horribly. You really need to burn your own chips for the best results.
As far as what to modify, start reading in the DIY PROM board. Just read as many posts as possible and you'll start to get the idea. Also, get the software and when somebody mentions a table in a post go look at it so you understand what they're talking about.

Ok, I thought that the running would be less than optimal, but I am hoping to just get the darn thing up and staggering, so I know that the engine will actually physically RUN before I start messing with the PROM.
Another question, would it be able to run (or stagger), without destroying the engine, if I was running a MAP instead of a MAF?
