Will this ignition make the LT1 intake easier?

And has anyone seen anything like it before? It's included on this guy's setup, and I never saw a conversion for the ignition available before.

It could make the LT1 intake swap easier if it is available and cheap enough.

That would do just the oppisate, it would make it more complicated. Very much so. And the price! It would be crazy to try that thing.

It seems to me that it would simplify installation because your distributer hole issues would be gone, but at $750, it pretty much ruins the whole point of the LT1 intake swap.

Your distributor hole issue is NOT gone. It still uses a device that picks up cam timing that looks like a distributor with the top cut off. Then you have to install the required crank trigger too. Not worth it IMO.

What gain do you get from an ignition system, not much or he wouldn't be selling.

Just play'n with ya...

I agree that this thing would seriously complicate things, you dont have the room for it, and you'd still need the hole, the only POSSIBLE benifit would be room enough for EGR if you can relocate the coil packs, but EGR isnt' worth that price to me, its easier to just put back on the TPI during emisisons season.

I'd like to add this to what John Millican was saying. Even if you used DIS you'd still have to have a hole in the LT1 intake for a "distributor plug", unless you think your motor will be ok without an oil pump........

It sold for 1600 bucks. That intake looks trashed, the distributor shaft looks very used, and this doesn't even eliminate the need for long, annoying spark plug wires, like DIS does on many other cars. I don't see the value in it.
