now i don't know how this is possible on the tpi but when i had the throttlebody of, i noticed that the plennum and runners where completely loaded with carbon, but the driveability, performance and fuel economy is great. do i have to pull off the whole intake to clean it or can i clean it while its on the car, thanks.

 

A can of throttle body cleaner will do wonders. Really though cleaning the plenum and runners is almost a waste of time, its only a thin film of fuel and oil residue caked on there and it'll just happen again. The area to be concerned about is the throttle plate and IAC area, the runners and plenum it wont affect much.
