305 or 350
305 or 350
I know this has been answered before, but I have to leave in a few minutes and I don't have time to search. (I'm looking at 89 TA later tonight when I get back)
The car came from the factory with a 305. The owner says it was replaced with a 350. Is their anyway to tell? I couldn't find any numbers but I may have not been looking in the right place. The exhaust manifolds are the same one's i have on my 305. I heard the 350 ones were different.
If anyone can tell me or post a pic of where any identification numbers would be that would tell, I'd really appreciate it.
thanks

well first off a search would probably yeild results faster b/c you don't have to wait for us to respond....umm the only way i know of is the back of block...the part you can't see....so i would just assume it is a 305 unless he has more proof. I could say my car has a 383 and ppl would never know besides it is down on power some.

Hey,
350 heads have one extra bolt hole on the very back. You could run your hand back there and feel for it.. The original 350 manifolds used this hole.
