Did this add anything to my LT1???

This is my LT1 intake. I was bored so I smoothed out the intake ports today...my question is, did it add anything. They arent like a mirror polish but they are pretty smooth and probobly 100% better than the cast finish that I sanded off. I sanded with 80 then 120 then 800 grit, I didnt get rid of any big pits or anything like that, just made it as smoothe as possible w/ out spending hours on each one.

its amazing what a better Digi Cam can do.

the before sample is how it was with the cast still there

the after is what I call "smoothe" for the most part.

wont it flow a little better now, and make at least a couple more Hp,

but also, on a 383, theres no way I'd notice something that might add that little bit.

Clean them out with a carbide bur to get all the bumps and crap
smoothed out and match the ports to your intake gaskets and
carry that new port dimension up into the plenum and then sand
them smooth and then match your head ports to your intake
gaskets so you don't have a port mismatch then you will feel a
difference.

One hell of a difference if you have a nice cam in there with some
decent heads.
