Need new injectors (again!)
Well after my last trip to the GM dealer and after paying yet another $90 for diagnostics they found that 4 of 8 injectors had low, low resistance in other words I have yet another batch of FRIED Multecs.
The readings were 1.5, 17.0, 7.1, 16.9, 11.8, 16.8, 10.2, 17.0...
So like any TRUE f-body guy I recodnize that a repair is an upgrade in disguise. Here is what I am trying to find out.
If I stick with the 305 what is the best rating for an injector ? 19lbs ? 22lbs ?
I have heard that 24s are not very effective on the 305.
I have read on the TPI board that Ford SVO (gulp) injectors are a good replacement for the 305.
What about brand names any preferences ?
How about who or where to buy them from ?
Any comments would be appreciated.
thx in advance,
RP.

SVO's are just fine, but they're rated at a different fuel pressure, keep that in mind while buying.
Yes 24's are to much...
and unless you've gotten serious (you'll know when you're serious enough) 22's usually arent' even warranted. So your choice is 19's, or "detuned" 22's.
maybe you should gather up a set of old crusty 22's from another fbody and send them to cruisin and get them matched, then you'll have a known good set of matched injectors?
If money is no issue, then buy the brand of your choice, most of the difference is just in the cost.

Just pay the $209.99 for the 19* SOV's like I did, and youll be happy. Of you dont have an AFPR, I really wouldnt worry about it. The Fords are rated at 39.6 PSI, which is only abour 4 pounds lower than stock GM. GM pressure will work well with the SVO's causing them to atomize fuel better, and give you a little more as well. I love mine!
I got a set of 19-lb Accel injectors from Rich at cruzinperformance, paid $226.45 for them.
