1/6 rockers on a 85 tpi

I have a stock 85 305 tpi, it already came stock with the better cam, but what i was thinking is sense the computer sucks in 85 is if i could put the 1/6 rockers on it to make the lift bigger to get more power, or would this not work.

the stock cam is 404 intake and 415 exhaust, what would the new lift be. And how much power would i maybe gain.

THANKS

I had the same idea as you and put the 1.6 rr's on 2years ago. The made my valve guides go bad. I was told that it's hit and miss with the geometry change and some times it works oK someteims it does not. I would find an old wiring harness off of a speed density car 90-92 and use that ecm. then you can get into burning your own chips. Yes, you do gain a little more power with the 1.6rr, but not enought to out weigh the risk of bad valve guides. For the same price, you could get a set of slp runners and a little better results.
