new direction for intakes??? Injected Victor JR
new direction for intakes??? Injected Victor JR
A while ago in a book i saw someone convert an edelbrock Victor jr intake to fuel injection. Has anyone around this board tried this before?? Seems like it might be the way to go in the quest for more power, better breathing, and a higher RPM potential being that we are not that concerned about runner size/velocity as a carb set up. A true bigger is better set up. The intake even comes cast with nitrous bosses that can be milled for injectors. If my memory is serving me the setup used a ford throttle body. Anyone have any thoughts on this??

I was going to to convert a Edelbrock air-gap to EFI and even made the 90* elbow out of a TPI plenum and a 2in carb spacer. But then the Stealth Ram came out it and the price was better $500 for the Stealth w/fuel rails VS. air-gap$195,fuel bungs$60,fuel rail w/crossover and regulator $195,welding fuel bungs $100-150.And thats if I was going to drill the manifold for the bungs myself add another $100-150 If someone else is going to locate the bungs and drill the manifold out.Performance should be close with either one and when I have extra cash and the time Im still going to convert a air-gap,custom converted carb manifolds just look bad under the hood! But for the time being I going see what the Stealth can do.
