Will a runner from a MAF car work on a SD car?
Will a runner from a MAF car work on a SD car?
The shop that fixed my intake manifold leak dented my passenger side runner, so I'm in the process of looking for another. My car is a '90, so it is a SD car and I was wondering if the runners are different on the 85-89 MAF cars. If they are different, how are they different so I know what to look for. Thanks.

Hmmm. I think 89-92 are absent the extra "tube" which is related to the coldstart injector & they thusly block off the cold start in the base.

No, you're right. 89-92 are the same runners, while 85-88 are the same, and different than what you have. Good luck in your search!
Why dont you upgrade your runners at the same time, and pay the difference?

I thought about doing that Kevin, but I won't gain a whole lot just from the runners. The stock manifold base and plenum would still be restrictive. Plus, my interests are now turning to the Merkur. The Formula is too nice and rare to mod (in my opinion) and I owe my dad over a grand for the Merkur. So as soon as that is paid for, I'll be getting an intercooler and a few other things, running 23 pounds of boost, and hopefully 12's
