Building my custom Intake!!!!

Before someone says it, I know its HUGE, the car is still at the shop so Im not sure exactly were to cut the pipes so the filter is in the rite spot and the other end lines up with the TB. but anyway, heres the intake I am making for my car.

Im doing this cause I dont have my stock intake anymore, and with the LT1 being 2" closer to the front of the car, the suncoast ram air box wont fit anymore.

I got the 3" 90 degree mandrel bent pipes from mufflex, the 3" cone filter from auto zone, stock MAF sensor, just have to cut the pipes to size and its ready!

I'd heard of people removing a headlight for air, but never a taillight.

Have you looked at the intake that John Millican
made for his LT1 set up? He may have a photo
on his LT1 website.

yeah, I saw his, I dont really like the look, so I figured on trying my own, its not a double like his, but it will do the job. It will look alot better when done, that huge contraption is just to get the idea.

That should look pretty nice. Make sure to paint it or coat it so it doesn't rust.
