who's using Trickflow heads?
OK, I need to see who has Trickflow heads on their third gen. Next question, what kind of header or manifold are you using? Here is why I'm asking. Trickflow sells these heads as a replacement for factory heads on stock engines. I put a set of the Trickflow 23* heads on my L98 . I use the Edelbrock TES headers on my car. When I installed the heads, I noticed that the shape and size of the exhaust ports don't match up to the headers for crap!
I'm wondering how much impact this would have on the performance of my car. I siamese ported my intake at the same time I changed the heads. Now I have no low end power and I'm trying to sort out what the most likely reason is. Thanks a lot for any input you guys can give.

Here, with SLP 1.75". No probs except I needed a reducer for the fan switch which makes it stick out even more... and rub the header.
A mis-match in port shape isn't bad as long as the header tube is bigger than the port. I think it's better to have it this way as I read it help to prevent exhaust reversion.

218/224 495/502 112 lsa cam edelbrock intake asm runners and a bunch of otehr crap. off idle? well it doesnt kick into gear until about 2000 rpm. I have a 2600 stall but not installed yet. best time with those mods and STOCK chip was a 13.6@101 with 12 counts of knock retard and a 2.2 60'

Damn, those cam specs are almost the same as a ZZ4 cam! Something is seriously wrong with my car then. I'm pulling the siamese ported intake off this weekend and going back to stock. I'm really hoping that the intake is the root of my problems. I ported the intake while I had the heads off. Ever since I got it back together, its been a slug off the line. I've tried burning various custom chips, but thats only getting me a few hundreths in the quarter. I've kinda ruled out it being a tuning issue. Especially now that I've seen your times with a stock chip. When my buddy and I put the heads on, we noticed that the exhaust ports didn't match very well to the headers. I just wanted to try and rule out that being a major problem. I already pulled the supercharger off and switched back to the stock injectors and stock ignition just trying to eliminate variables.

me to. I was worried. I put the gasket to the heads. That was ok then i put the gaskets to the headers and that was ok too. I had my intake gasket matched to 1205 gaskets also. I also went with 1.6 ratio rockers. I also went with stock injectors and stock ignition.

TFS G1 heads and TES headers. The heads have a D-shape port and the headers are round, but other than the TES headers having small ports, they're fine.
The TES headers won't hurt your low end due to the smaller port size (just your upper end). I'd consider a higher stall convertor to get you off the line.

Problem found!!
I learned my lesson for doing more than one major mod at a time. I siamese ported the intake at the same time as I swapped the heads. It ended up being the intake. Apparently I moved my powerband to far up and lost all my low end torque. I switched back to a stock TPI intake, and lowered my zero to sixty times by over a second.
And thats with a chip thats not even close to being optimal. Now its time to start fine tuning. I'm hopeful to see a high four second 0 - 60 time after I'm done.
