LT1 Fuel Rails for TPI to LT1 Conversion

After getting my intake and fuel rails early this week, I'm not very impressed with how GM put the return fuel line into the passenger side rail. I have plans to drill it out and tap threads for some type of fitting. I took a ride to Summit Racing today and got a few fittings. I haven't found and pictures of the angle I need, so I'm posting these pics for those who know what kind of room is at the back of the fuel rails with the distributor.

These are the pieces I picked up: a 120 degree -6AN fitting (AER-FCM4042), a -6AN with pipe threads and a tapped hole of a schrader valve (7006/670060), and another -6AN fitting with metric threads and much lower profile than the previous one (4024/640240).

I'd really like to use this setup, but it may stick out too far.

The other fitting I picked up makes more room (about 1/2") for distributor clearance.

Can anyone say for sure that these fittings will not work? I won't know until I get the intake modified. And the distributor in place.

The passenger side is the supply side but anyway.......

Here's some good pictures I did for a guy that had a broke tube off the passenger side rail. I welded a 90° elbow there and it clears the distributor fine.

Thanks for the pics...

I'm not sure why I said return line....that makes sense, the schrader valve is on the fuel feed line. Anyway, I'll be getting an adjustable fuel pressure regulator from TPIS and the fitting that goes on the end of it for -6AN lines. I have braided lines with AN fittings going to my TPI setup right now, I'll probably have to shorten them a bit.

Here's a pic I found on the web of TPIS's AFPR and fitting for -6AN line. I called about it...they sell the regulator for $120 and the fitting that screws on the end for $15
