I have the base from a 1989 350 TPI setup & I wanted to Siamese it and drop it in my 305 setup, would this be a clean swap???

I know the 89 didn't use the 9th injector but I am pretty sure there is a hole for it because the 89 runner has a plate that covers the hole. Was there any difference between the 89 base and the 87 base besides the 9 th injector that I will run into?

 

It's the same base.

 

I'll second that, a freind of mine swapped a 90 base onto his pick-up that was using all the upper stuff and the wiring harness off of an 86!

I am running an 89 base along with the 89 chip in my 87 (long story - engine swap). You are correct that the runner has a plate where the injector hole would be. As far as we could tell the 89 base we used did not have the hole in it for the injector. It's the whole reason I went looking for the matching 89 runner and chip.
