TPI is killing me!!! PLEASE HELP

I have a few problems with my TPI set up in my 88 GTA, so please bare with me. First off, my car doesn't want to run when it is first crunk. Once it hits 120-130 degrees it smoothes out. It hesitates and jumps before that though. Another thing, my fuel pump quit coming on when I turned the key on, but I ran a hot wire to the relay and it now comes on. I thought fuse but it is fine. And I just replaced both relays. And last but not least, my car sounds like it is detonating sometimes. I run 93 octane all the time so it is not the gas. I love my TPI, so could you guys please help me. Thanks in advance. Also, my car won't run better than a 9.96 in the 1/8 mile with a ported intake, cold air, removed screens, no smog at all, and a Flowmaster.

Pull the codes, sounds like you have alot of gremlins. The fuel pump thing sounds like a problem with the oil pressure safety switch crap or whatever it's called that won't power the pump under certain circumstances. Assuming you don't have a dead engine with no oil pressure, lol, I'd check that wiring/sensor.

I have great oil pressure, it carries around 50lbs when the car is hot and idling in drive. Where is this oil pressure switch thing you are talking about?

oil pressure switch is on drivers side below the distributor. This is not actually used in initial startup. The pump primes based on what the computer says then shuts off. While the car is running it uses the switch to run the pump until no oil pressure is sensed. When that happens the pump power is shut off. So you can listen to radio with key in on position and not run down your battery or burn out the pump.

The change at the 120-130 mark is when the car goes from open loop to closed loop in the ECM. May want to ask around on the prom section.

Have you messed with initial timing? check that. Stock timing is 6*, be sure to unplug the connector(brown i believe) so that you computer won't be compensating will you adjust the timing. HTHs
