88 5.7 GTA Rough on cold start?

My 88 GTA runs a little rough on cold starts and has a little hesitation when you first push the gas. I just did tune up yesterday with new plugs, wires, cap, and rotar. I'm getting a service engine soon light when its cold (haven't had a chance to pull the code). But if I turn it off when it warms up and restart it the service engine soon light goes off and it purrs like a kitten, and runs like a champ. I'm baffled, any suggestions?
thanks

You need to check the code.

Mine does the same, but I don't get a code. At least you have something to go on. Check the code. Might just be a sensor gone bad.

Mark.

Just checked the codes, got a 12, and a 34. My book says for a 88 TPI this code would be low airflow MAF sensor. My question is my air filter is realy dirty (just ordered a power shot filter) could this be throwing the code? Correct me if anything is incorrect

Could possibly be a problem with the cold start injector.
