21lbs injectors on 305

i am doing a tbi to tpi swap and the setup was off of a 350 but is going on a 305 and i was wondering a 305 tpi would run with 21lbs injectors. my car is not running well at all and i would like to know if the injectors have any thing to do with it.

Just use the injectors you get with the tpi setup and try and take advantage of the extra fuel by doing exhaust mods, porting, CAI, airfoil and all the other little things that add up etc.
Do you mean youve already done the swap and its not running well? If your worried about running rich, check exhaust for blackness, hook up an O2 sensor gauge, or get someone with the wires and software to analyze your codes. What adsactly would you describe the problem with your engine is? sluggish? rough idle etc? With some more info people could probably offer a bit better advice than me.

if you are using the computer and chip from the 350 you are going to be running way rich. If you have ed wright burn you a chip or burn your own then it should clear up the problem.

I dunno about that. The 350 CHIP has like a 23.5 injector constant (depending on year). He may actually run pretty good with the slightly larger injectors on th 305.

Now the 305 CHIP will have a lower injector constant (lower #/hr, but wider pulse) so it will dump more fuel. Now that will most likely run rich.

What does ed wright charge to burn a chip? Does he hook up a laptop to your car with WinAldl/moates, or even a scantool, and tune to your needs?

Anyway, what you _SHOULD_ do is get an afpr so you can knock the pressure down a little if need be, although I noticed the stock pressure is pretty freaking low to begin with. Like 38psi on one I'm using right now, cuz I broke the adjuster..
