rough/irregular idle

After spraying the throttle body with throttle body cleaner the other week my car now has a rough idle when warm. I was told to take off the IAC motor and clean it out, but can't see how to remove it. Does the throttle body need removed to remove the IAC motor? What else would cause the rough idle? I just replaced the plugs...no change in idle.

thanks for the help!

The IAC motor is threaded into the throttle body. Get a wrench to fit the boss of it and spin it on out. Careful cleaning it too. You do not have to remove the throttle body but its an easy task and you may as well clean it out too if you really wanna end this problem. I clean parts like that with mineral spirits or thinner- takes carbon off the best. Rough idle could be a number of things. If your car is otherwise in good tune start by checking for vacuum leaks.

some times if it was very dirty and you used a lot of cleaner id go driving it hard from idle wot a few times just blow out the now washed out carbon ...also if it was realy bad carbon could have collected around the o2 and now is giving late readings (the means slow chages to you engines needs . just some ideas

I second the o2 theory.
