Want 12's on motor 11's on juice.
I'm on a tight budget here (aren't we all). I'm currently running 13.4 at 101-103 (depending on weather) on motor and 12.45 on a NX 100 shot. I would like to take off as much ET as possible. I've bought LCA's and relocation brackets. I hook very well now w/ my DR's but my top end SUCKS ***. I dyno'd at 267rwhp and 356rwtq. On the juice I hit a 361hp and 551rwtq. I still only trap at 109mph on the juice. I was expecting 112-113.
I have a modded LT1 intake ready to go on. Do you think this will be enough to hit a 12 sec motor pass w/ the mods in my sig?
Should I save some time and money and do a cam at the same time. This is my daily driver, but I was still thinking of the CC306 w/ my 1.6 rr. I'm not to worried about driveability. My valve springs can handle .600 lift and at least 7000rpms. Will they be OK w/ the cam lift and 1.6rr?
Sorry, one more question
Is the CC306 a hydrolic roller?
Thanks for all the replies.
PS- I will have all the prom burning equipment before Oct.

I agree, you've got traction nailed and it will be less of an issue with an LT1 intake, so if you can keep your 60' in the same spot then you can probably drop the difference with the intake to get you a 12.9

I know that sticking w/ the 3.42s isn't a bad idea w/ a 700R4, but the T56 has a very wide first geat, and to get a better launch, you'd need to go to a 3.73 or even a 4.10 (i'd go w/ the 3.73, but a few guys w/ T56s have gone w/ a 4.10). So if the LT1 intake didn't get you to 12s, the gear would make up the difference.

Dude, the CC306 should put you in the 11's with tuning. It's the cam I would put in with an LT1 intake. I'd also get 4.10 gears, since you have a T-56.

The CC306 is the cam I want to go w/. I'm a little worried about running my 1.6RR though. My springs can handle .600" lift and over 7k rpm's. Will the rockers put me over my limit?
Does anyone know the specs off the top of their head?
I think its 234/240 and .50?in. and .540exh. Does anyone know for sure? Also, do ya'll think I might need a new timing chain? I plan on going the cheaper route right now and only buying the cam and lifters. The motors got about ~20k miles.
Thanks for ALL the help.

Thats a pretty wild cam, don't expect good idle, or low end power, especially with the lt1 intake. It'll give you great hp in the upper rpm, but poor driveability. Go with 4.10 if you get this cam. It sould put you to low 12's, maybe even high 11's.

Are you talking about NA or spraying?
Anyone have a ballpark figure of HP I can expect with or w/o tuning? I'm guessing 30 from the inake and 20-25 from the cam. Or am I way off?

Why does SUMMIT web site say that lifters cost $239.95?
Someone PLEASE tell me that's a typo.
Is there a different (cheaper) hydro roller lifter out there? Or should I just eat $500 for a cam swap.

What's the difference between the comp lifters and the crane lifters. Besides the $80. Can I use the crane ($160) OEM ones. Why would you need a high proformance lifter?
