(picture taken from Traxions tech article) Forgive my lack of knowlegde on ealier intakes but what is this blockoff plate near the dist. hole and where do I get it? I bought a used intake and I need to block it off. My first thought was it was for the cold start. I am probably wrong . I 'll probably have to cut a piece of metal to fit over it or something.
Btw I have an 89.

 

I believe that plate if if you have vette aluminum heads..its for the egr valve on those heads.

 

yup, might be able to get it through GM still.

 

Ok, Thanks guys . I guess Eldebrock made this intake universal for all L-98s.
