If I was to remove the smog pump, the A.I.R. or whatever it is called and put on a set of Hooker Shorty Headers on my L98, would this make a noticeable diffrence or not really???? Thanks.....AARON

 

The Smog pump is really only stealing 2hp from you at most from the belt. It weighs about 10lbs though and removing it will make your nose lighter, making a better front/rear balance.

The headers should give you lots of horsepower over manifolds.

 

The thing you will notice most is the space....

 

Removing my A.I.R. system was one of the first thing i did along with installing headers. I definitely recomend both mods if emissions allow.

 

Don't forget headers weigh a lot less than manifolds as well.

 

headers are by far on of the best mods to make on a TPI engine.
