Are these mods that you've done, or mods that you're planning on doing? As far as I know, hypertech doesn't make custom chips... And If you really don't wanna get into PROM burning, you'd be better off to tune w/ timting advance and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Anybody that knows anything about PROMs on these boards will tell ya that hypertech, jet, ads, etc. (all off-the-shelf chips) really suck and are worthless for most people.

I don't know why this setup wouldn't see 12s with good traction (and a good cam). Just make sure it's runnning good and tuned properly.

thanks for the reply, thats the setup after. Right now its everything but the heads, cam, intake. (Which pretty much is the most important stuff). But the drivetrain seems to be ready for it.
Thanks
Matt

Instead of buying a hyperjunk chip, buy PROM burning equipment. Even if you burn one chip with it you will outdo the hyperjunk.

Yeah, I see 12s easily with a little traction and tuning. I'd say low 12's setup correctly. As for a PROM, hypertechs and the like are JUNK! After just putting in this motor (mods in sig) I was running the hypertech chip I had. It ran ok, but rich. Now me and a friend are doing a chip for it. Very cheap and easy to play with. I was once like you, but will definately stick with custom proms by me or a friend from now on! Good luck with the car. It should do great with traction/tuning

I'd say low 12's too (with Drag Radials, which are also my street tires), check my sig below. How well those heads flow will be the key to your combo. Heads are critical for making power.

As for cam, I DEFINITELY recommend the LPE 219/219. IMHO, there is no better cam for a 355 or 383 with a SuperRam on it.

I would also recommend SLP headers or Hooker Super Comp's instead of Edelbrocks.
