Nead some help with TPI (newbie)

Im new to this forum but I think I will be coming here a lot because it looks like you can lear a lot here.
I dont have a 3Gen Camaro but I do have a 1Gen so I hope that is ok.
If you look at the tittle you can see that I nead some help with TPI system that I have, I just got me a new toy it is a 86 S10 and it has got a carbed 350 and 700R4 tranny I want to take the carb off and but this TPI system that I have the system was in the Camaro when I got it but I did not want it in there wanted it to look more stock if I opend the hood.
My Q is where can I get some info on how to hook up the tpi to the car I have found out where all the sensors go and how to hook up the fuel pump.
The only thing Im not sure about is this plug where I have 4 wires I think they have 2 blue one one black and one brown, I know the black one it a ground and I know it is not the O2 or the knock sensor so what cant it be?
Is there any place online that you can goto to see how to hook up the computer this is a 7730 computer and yes it is a MAP system Im putting on my car.
I have a 91 Corvette that has TPI so I know a little about TPI systems and it looks like here you have a lot of people that know this like back of there hands.
I did do a search but I did not find what I was looking for.

Thanks for any info I can get.

JD

PS Sorry about a long post.

Don't worry about owning a 1st gen instead of a 3rd gen... there are a few fourth gen'ers, Mustang drivers, and Import drivers that frequent the boards too!

There aren't too many 4 plug connections I can think of off hand. IAC valve is one of them, maybe the MAP(not sure, I have MAF which is 4 wires) And maybe one of the wires that plug into the distributor/ignition module. Hope this helps some.

if the 4 wires in the connector are placed like the 4 on a dice (2 on top and 2 underneath) and its located near the throttle body then its the IAC connector. there are no other connectors that look like that as far as i know and ive gone through my wiring many-a-time so im pretty sure on this one. good luck

Thanks guys I just found a pin out of that computer so I will be able to traise it, I will let you guys know what it is.

Brian'sIROC it is not the IAC or the MAP sensor because I have them hooked up and after looking better at this I have found out that this is a plug that somebody put there not a stock GM plug.
And I just found out now that the Dis that I have is the wrong one for the harness that I have I guess I have to make something to hook my Dis up.

87TA 305TPI I have the IAC wires hooked up so I know it is not them, I will let you guys know what I find out.

One thing I found out is that the computer is from a 90-92 car but the wire harness if from a car that has cold start injector because I see that they dont have 1 extra injector I guess I can just cut it off or do I have to have it?

After looking at it and the pinout I see that the wires have just what it neads to get the car running and nothing more, I guess that is good and not because I have the 700R4 in it and I was thinking about hooking it up too.

And it would be nice to have the ALDL hooked up to and even the SYS light so I can get codes from the computer if I nead too.

Again thanks for the help guys.

Go to the page below. Once there go to bottom of page. You'll find (92 Fbody) has several pages of schematics you can print for a complete set of wiring instructions for fut reference. GE-ECMs
