tpi motor to tb car
tpi motor to tb car
I have the 88 305 tpi from my brothers wrecked iroc it wasnt damaged in the accident only some burned wires. My nephew has a 89 firebird with a tired 305 TB. Can we drop the TB manifold on the TPI motor an put this all in the firebird or will we have to do other mods, such as chips or cams.etc. The TPI is all stock only 80000 miles, the firebird is also all stock as far as motor an computer.

I would go from TBI to TPI. The TPI setup offers more horsepower and reliability as a matter of history. TPI is more desireable. It doesn't break as often. That would be harder to do, but worth it.

Yes. It should be a bolt in deal. Remove the TPI manifold & reuse the TBI induction, computer & wiring.
