what compression ratio will i have

Assuming I have the thinnest head gasket available, what compression ratio will I have with aluminum L98 heads on a 305 with stock pistons?

Rough guess is between 9 to 1 and 9.3 to 1. Thats with 58 CC heads, .015 FelPro 1094 head gasket and around 13 CC in block and pistons.

I thought that you couldn't use 350 heads on a 305 block. I remember reading that you have to clearance the piston bore because the valves hit the edge.

87 B4c,

Figure it out for yourself. Load and open this calculator:

Engine Calculations.xls

It works with MS Excel and QuattroPro.
