Switching to TPI setup?
Ok i am contemplating on switching to TPI setup. what is the best setup i can use. Really not to familiar with the different types. I have heard of the super ram i think and heard that is good. How hard and what is needed to switch to that TPI setup. I have a 350 Carb engine now. Need to avoid tuning my carb all the time becuase i dontknow how to. and to avoid the dreded choke light noise. i need more power andthis looks like agood way to go right now. solves some problemsand makes me happy.
Thanks,
Chuck

For a stock application either is fine.. For a performance app,
you could go ported lt1, miniram, aftermarket ltr setup, etc.
If you go TPI, might as well start reading about prom burning becuse the stock calibrations will only take you so far.

If you're not very familiar with the TPI systems out there, the abbreviations in the posts above probably make no sense. Here are your fuel injection options (at least the ones that are talked about in this forum):
LTR Setup: Large Tube Runner (runners that flow more air than stock)
HSR: Holley Stealth Ram (new design by Holley - comes as a kit)
LT1 Intake: an LT1 intake manifold modified for a pre-1993 small block
MiniRam: an overpriced version of the LT1 intake by TPIS (TPI Specialities)
Super Ram: short runner design by Accel (John Lingenfelter design)
RamJet: a newer GM kit used on Vortec heads I think
A used TPI setup or the LT1 intake is the cheapest way to go.
Also, you spelled Edelbrock wrong in your signature a few times

twizted, i think ur problem is not ur engine ur puttin on TPI.. its cause ur car is a *** mobile.... hehehe... i would go with the LT1... most performance out ther, and there is an after market for it! just make sure u go get an intake that has been drilled to fit the heads, and drilled for a distributer (SP?) the HSR would have to be in a close 2nd... its a nice set up but i would go with the modded LT1
