Throttle body rebuildable?
I noticed some play in the throttle body linkage, enough to actually affect idle speed. I did a search and didn't find much. How do I get the bracket off that the throttle cable attaches to? Or does it come apart at all? I don't like the thought of getting a new one.
Thanks.
Thanks.
im not sure if its rebuildable or not, but if you want a temporary solution, i would suggest just getting a carb spring and hooking it to the TB and then drill a hole in the bracket that the linkage goes through and that will pull it back to where i belongs

thanks cobra, (that 'bump' thing sure works) , the problem isn't the spring but the fact that the idle is going to be different every time that I stop at a light, or I get that annoying high idle sometimes. I also noticed that while I play with the throttle- just side to side that the TPS voltage goes up and down as well. That can't be good. I'm sure I can rebuild this thing but I don't want to screw it up. The end seems to be pressed on HOW DO I GET it off ?????
Thanks,
Jeff
